Matcha is finely ground green tea made from shade-grown leaves, a process that enhances its vibrant colour, rich umami, and nutrient profile. Harvested only a few times a year, the leaves are carefully steamed, dried, and stone-milled into a delicate, velvety powder.

Step 1

Sift a teaspoon of matcha powder into a bowl

• 1 tsp: weak
• 2 tsp: medium
• 3 tsp: strong

Step 2

Add 70ml (~1/4 cup) of hot water ( 70-80°C -not boiling).

You can adjust the water if you put more or less matcha.

Step 3

Whisk in a "M" motion using a bamboo whisk until the top layer is frothy with fine bubble, then serve pure or pour onto milk.
